YONECO field officers, in collaboration with officials from TLC and ICRAF, engaged members of Mbombo Village Natural Resource Management Committee (VNRMC) on the impact of climate change in the area of Group Village Head Mzandu, Traditional Authority (TA) Chikho in Ntchisi district.
The session was aimed at raising awareness of climate change and its associated impact on the welfare of people. In addition to this, the committee actively participated in developing initiatives for promoting environmental conservation in the area. During the session, the committee members were also equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to successfully establish efficient nurseries for both exotic and indigenous trees.
In total, the session was attended by 11 women and 9 men.
